And They Talked About John Edwards' "Elitist" $400 Haircut...

Reports are coming in that the Republican National Committee has spent $4000 for a haircut for Sarah Palin and a total of $150,000 to clothe and accessorize the Veep candidate and her family since late August. Just a regular American girl, folks.

With all the trubs that the Repubs have had with matching the Obama camp's campaign donations, you would think that they would want to put this money to more efficient use. Priorities, priorities, priorities.

Are they preparing for a Miss America contest or a Presidential campaign?

Who is responsible for this? Nancy Pfotenhauer doesn't know, she also doesn't know the role of the vice-president.

If anyone asks, this is how you explain the job of VP to a third grader: "The Vice President helps out the President and gives him or her ideas about how to make the country better. The Vice President has two very important jobs though. One, is to be in charge of the country if the President can't do it anymore, like if he or she gets very, very sick. The other job is to break a tie vote in the Senate, where they make the laws." I want to start playing the "have you read the Constitution?" game with Nancy Pfotenhauer, Sarah Palin and the whole gang. Where are the Ron Pauliacs when you need them?

Oh, and on another note, someone should come up with an online game where you "spend" $150,000 on clothes, accessories and grooming in a couple of months. I would never have to do laundry to get clean underwear again!

I referenced this article in a blog post discussing what the media chooses to report in terms of campaign expenditures.
